Aion 2 Kinah will remain an important part of preparing for the global launch, but class choices may deserve more attention after the upcoming August 26 changes. NCsoft is moving combat toward more active manual play, which could change how players think about rotations, gearing, and long-term class performance.
For players already saving Aion 2 Kinah or planning their launch characters, the timing is important. The class concept enhancements are arriving shortly before the September 30 global Early Access launch, so older testing results may not tell the full story. The August 26 showcase should provide a clearer look at how the revised classes actually play.
Macro Rotations Are Losing Their Importance
The biggest change is not necessarily the removal of macros. Basic macro functions are still expected to remain available, but relying on one automated sequence will no longer be the best way to maximize damage.
That means players will have to pay more attention to skill timing. Instead of pressing the same button and watching a fixed rotation play itself, good performance should depend more on knowing when to use individual abilities.
This could make combat more interesting for players who enjoy hands-on gameplay. It also gives experienced players more room to separate themselves from less practiced players using the same class.
Each Class Should Feel More Distinct
Another important goal is to give classes stronger individual identities.
Some classes previously had combat patterns that felt similar, especially when players depended heavily on repetitive macro sequences. The new approach is designed around different manual rhythms, combo timing, and skill feedback.
For new players, this could make choosing a class easier. Instead of simply asking which class has the highest numbers, players can consider whether they prefer steady attacks, reactive skills, precise timing, or more complicated rotations.
That distinction may become especially important once the global community starts testing the updated builds.
Gladiator Is Getting More Consistent PvE Damage
Gladiator players have a fairly straightforward change to watch. The class is receiving adjustments intended to reduce the performance gap that can appear during unstable PvE situations.
Its main PvE skills are also getting a baseline 3% damage increase. While 3% is not a dramatic buff by itself, it can matter when combined with a more reliable skill cycle.
The bigger question is whether Gladiator feels more consistent when bosses move, mechanics interrupt normal rotations, or fights become less predictable. If the new design succeeds, players should have fewer situations where the class loses too much effectiveness simply because combat does not follow an ideal pattern.
Healing Classes Are Receiving Bigger Changes
Cleric and Chanter players have more complicated changes to consider.
Healing values and maximum-HP percentage scaling are being retuned, while healing amplification will scale directly with Attack. This creates a more noticeable relationship between gear quality and healing performance.
Players with weaker gear may see a lower minimum level of healing, while heavily geared characters could eventually produce much larger numbers.
For Chanters, the changes are particularly interesting because they are intended to address historical healing limitations. Clerics should also benefit from stronger late-game sustain.
This could make gearing decisions more meaningful for support players. Rather than treating equipment as something that mainly improves survivability or personal damage, players may have to consider how their offensive stats affect their ability to support an entire group.
Brawler Is a Future Concern for Global Players
The Brawler is also receiving major adjustments, including changes to its Ferocity mechanic and Domain Summon.
Ferocity will use a fixed 10-second window with a 90-second cooldown, while Domain Summon's duration is increasing from 10 seconds to 30 seconds. These changes should make the class more stable and convenient during combat.
However, global players should not treat Brawler as an immediate launch option. The class is expected to arrive on the global version roughly six months after release.
What to Watch on August 26
The Gamescom showcase should be useful for judging these changes from a practical perspective. Damage numbers are worth checking, but animations, skill transitions, and the amount of manual input required may tell players more.
For Gladiator, watch whether the revised rotation remains effective when fights become messy. For Cleric and Chanter, pay attention to how healing scales with different levels of gear. For the overall game, watch whether the new systems actually make classes feel different from one another.
Players preparing their launch plans can also avoid spending resources based entirely on outdated assumptions. Keeping some Aion 2 Kinah available for equipment and other early needs may be safer than committing everything before the new balance direction becomes clearer.
A More Hands-On Launch
If the August 26 changes work as intended, Aion 2 should enter Early Access with classes that reward practice rather than simple automation. Players looking for efficient progression may eventually use cheap Aion 2 Boosting as an additional option, but understanding the new manual rotations will still matter for anyone who wants to play their class effectively.
The real test will come when the updated systems meet actual player behavior. August 26 should give the community its first strong indication of whether NCsoft has successfully turned class selection into a choice of playstyle rather than simply a search for the strongest automated rotation.
